Book Clubs
At Paperhouse Books, we believe that stories are best enjoyed when shared. Our bookclubs are all about bringing readers together — to talk, laugh, and connect over the books that move us. Whether you’re joining one of our in-store sessions or running a club of your own, we make it easy to keep the pages turning.
For those who love a cosy catch-up in the store, our Monday and Thursday Bookclubs offer a welcoming space to gather, enjoy a cuppa, and dive into the latest read. Prefer to run your own club? We can supply curated titles, lending options, or even organise bulk purchases to make sure your group always has something new to discuss.
However you like to read, Paperhouse Books is here to help your club discover great stories and share the joy of reading — together.
INSTORE CLUB
We offer two styles of instore book clubs at Paperhouse Books. We love to provide a place to gather, enjoy and most of all talk about books!
MONDAY’s at 11am or 2pm.
Cost $10
Includes: Monthly rental of the book club pick for 5 weeks & light refreshments
THURSDAY’s at 6pm
Cost $RRP of the monthly book
Includes: New book to keep & light refreshments
Registration is a must as spaces are limited. Book your spot instore or email us.
LENDING BOOKS
Do you have your own book club? Do you need large quantities of the same book? Do you need help choosing what to read month after month?
At Paperhouse Books we have over 100 different titles to choose from, with new titles added every few months. We can do all the curating for you, or you can pick from our list and pre-book your clubs picks. All you have to do is set and forget, while we make sure your books are ready each month for instore collection. We also ship to country towns upon request.
COST: $8 per book for 5 weeks.
Registration of your club is necessary, and pre-booking is essential to ensure you secure your selections. Book Clubs will generally choose the entire year in advance to secure titles.
PURCHASE BOOKS
Paperhouse Books can pre-order books of any quantity to supply your club. We can offer discounts for bulk orders.
Email us with your order or pop into the store and we can assist you.
Lending Books
Cost is $10 a book for 5 weeks OR for the Thursday Night the cost is the RRP$ of monthly book and you get to keep it.
If you would like to be added to our Instore Bookclub List, email us at bookclub@phbooks.com.au with your preferred day/time and we will do our best to fit you in!
Group sizes are small, from minimum 5 people up to 8 people per session and is on a month by month basis so if you are away on holidays or sick and can’t attend then all you have to do is let us know. No commitment required.
We provide the space and a list of discussion questions for you to chat about, plus all you can drink coffee/tea/water and some yummy snacks!
Purchase Books
We can pre-order and have your bookclub books ready for when you need them. We offer bulk order discounts of up to 10% and we run a loyalty program which means you earn another 5% back on your purchases to use next time.
All we need is your list of books, quantities and we can sort the rest.
